Keith G. Allred is an associate professor at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Govern­ment, where he teaches and conducts research on negotiation and conflict resolu­tion. During 2004–2005 he was the Frank Church Distinguished Professor at Boise State University in his home state of Idaho. An internationally recognized scholar in negotiation and conflict resolution, he has signi.cant experience in applying his scholarly knowledge to real-world challenges. As a professional mediator, he has helped manage and resolve many disputes, particularly focusing on conflicts in the American West. He is also the founder of TheCommonInterest.org , a grassroots political organization that works across party lines to improve policy.
