Richard J. Bodine is a cofounder of the National Center for Conflict Resolution Education , serving as training director since 1997 and consultant for the Illinois Institute for Dispute Resolution since 1992. Bodine has trained over three thousand adults and over one thousand youths in confict resolution processes. He holds training certifcates from CDR Associates of Boulder, Colorado, for Mediation, for Dispute Management Systems Design, and for Conflict Resolution in Organizations. He is coauthor of the following books: The School for Quality Learning: Managing the School and the Classroom the Deming Way (1993); Creating the Peaceable School (1994, 2002 [2nd ed.]); Peer Mediation: Confict Resolution in Schools, Revised (1997); Confict Resolution Education: A Guide to Implementing Programs in Schools (1996, 2001 [revised ed.]); The Handbook for Conflict Resolution Education (1998); and Developing Emotional Intelligence: A Guide to Behavior Management and Conflict Resolution in Schools (1999).
