Donna K. Crawford is a cofounder of the Illinois Institute for Dispute Resolution and the National Center for Conflict Resolution Education , serving as executive director since 1992. She is an experienced mediator, reality therapist, and dis­pute resolution trainer. Her training in alternative dispute resolution methods includes the Justice Center of Atlanta, Georgia, the Illinois State Board of Education Department of Specialized Services, and the Harvard University Law School. Donna coauthored the following publications: Peer Mediation: Conflict Resolution in Schools (1991, 1997 [revised ed.]); The School for Quality Learning: Managing the School and the Classroom the Deming Way (1993); Creating the Peaceable School (1994, 2002 [2nd ed.]); Conflict Resolution Education: A Guide to Implementing Programs in Schools (1996, 2001 [revised ed.]); The Handbook for Conflict Resolution Education (1998); Developing Emotional Intelligence: A Guide to Behavior Management and Conflict Resolution in Schools (1999); and Take a Stand: Stop the Violence Multimedia CD-ROM and Video (1999).
